Everything you need to know about the transition from your Mastercard to your new Koin Visa card.
Your existing Koin Credit Union Mastercard will automatically convert to a comparable new Visa® credit card product. All new cards are contactless-enabled and compatible with tap-to-pay. Your transaction history and payments will continue to be available through Online Banking.
Koin Credit Union is upgrading its credit card platform to enhance security, improve service, and expand the card options available to our members.
New Visa credit cards were mailed the first week of March. Your existing Mastercard will be deactivated on March 18, 2026. You should begin using your new Visa card on that date.
Yes. Rates will align with the card tier you are transferred to. Current Classic cardholders will move to the new Classic card. Current Platinum cardholders will move to the Royal card. You may apply for a different tier after conversion; credit approval is required.
Existing fees are not changing, except as disclosed for the new Rewards Card annual fee of $79 per year.
The automatic conversion will not impact your credit score. If you request a different tier, a credit evaluation may be required.
Yes. You may apply for another tier after conversion. Approval is subject to credit review.
Notices have been sent by mail, email, and will also appear on your upcoming statements. A full explanation of updated terms will be mailed to you prior to the effective date.
